City Museum of Turgutlu is founded inside the historic Üzümcü Mansion (1927-28) which is one of the most important architectural structures in the city.
The 1922 big fire which was started by the occupying Greek Army during their withdrawal is demonstrated in the basement of the Museum. There is a street reconstruction and three indoor scenes displayed on this floor and the effect is enriched with sound and visual support, Hyper-realistic figures along with the decorations, display the daily life and cultural habits of the habitants during 1922.
Other section of the Museum include scenes from life in Turgutlu and the history of the surrounding area, railroad, the merchants of Turgutlu, watermills and the founders of Turgutlu of Turkish Nomads in Anatolia.
